Beta Testing Terms of Service

BeautyDesk is a registered business name of Sabastian Dien Nguyen, a sole trader operating in Australia (ABN 95 987 726 537).

Beta Testing Program

BeautyDesk is currently in closed beta testing. By participating, you acknowledge that:

  • The platform may contain bugs and is provided "as-is"
  • Features may change, be removed, or added without notice
  • Service availability is not guaranteed during beta
  • Beta access is free and may be revoked at any time
  • You're expected to provide feedback and report bugs

1. Beta Program Participation

By accessing BeautyDesk during the beta period, you agree to:

  • Test the platform and provide constructive feedback
  • Report bugs, errors, or unexpected behavior promptly via email to beta@beautydesk.io
  • Not use the platform for mission-critical business operations during beta
  • Acknowledge that the service is provided free of charge during beta testing

2. Data Collection & Usage

During beta, we collect usage data, feedback, error logs, and performance metrics to improve the platform. This data helps us identify bugs, optimize features, and understand user needs. We will never sell your data. For complete details, see our Privacy Policy.

3. International Data Storage

Your data is processed and stored internationally, including in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using BeautyDesk, you consent to this transfer. See our Privacy Policy for complete details on data locations and protections.

4. Service Description

BeautyDesk provides automated customer feedback and review management:

  • Automated SMS review requests to clients after appointments
  • Private feedback collection for negative experiences
  • Optional prompts for satisfied clients to leave a Google review
  • Dashboard analytics and sentiment tracking
  • Webhook integrations with booking platforms

5. Beta Access & No Payment

Beta access is free of charge. There are no payment obligations during the beta period. When BeautyDesk transitions to production, existing beta users will receive advance notice of pricing and the option to migrate to a paid plan or discontinue service.

6. User Responsibilities

You must:

  • Provide accurate information during registration
  • Be at least 18 years old and operate a legitimate beauty/salon business in Australia
  • Obtain proper consent from clients before sending SMS messages
  • Comply with Australian telecommunications laws and SPAM Act 2003
  • Allow clients to opt-out of messages at any time
  • Maintain account security and notify us of unauthorized access

7. Service Availability & Changes

During beta, we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature without notice. Service uptime is not guaranteed. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated when possible, but emergency fixes may occur without warning.

8. Beta Termination & Transition

The beta program will conclude when we launch the production version. At that time:

  • You'll receive at least 30 days' notice before beta ends
  • You may export your data during the transition period
  • Pricing for production plans will be announced in advance
  • Beta users may receive preferential pricing or features

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, BeautyDesk is provided "as-is" during beta. We are not liable for any damages, lost business, data loss, or other consequences arising from beta participation. Our total liability is limited to AUD $100.

10. Account Termination

We may terminate beta access immediately for violation of these Terms, abuse of the platform, or illegal activity. You may discontinue use at any time by contacting us.
